This course is aimed at providing the level of training needed by producers to make sure that they understand the requirements to use agricultural and veterinary chemicals safely and effectively. The course also encourages people to think about using alternatives to chemicals in their production systems by taking a risk management approach.

| Assessment: | Overall competence for this unit requires that a person can correctly use equipment, apply chemical correctly, record the application, and identify safety hazards and how to avoid them. |
| Award: | Successful participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) certificate, and a ChemCert Statement of Participation. |
| Frequency: | The chemical ticket expires after 5 years. Reaccreditation training must be completed to maintain currency |
