Safe Tree Climbing Procedures and Aerial Rescue
This course is designed for all personnel who engage in tree climbing at work. It provides participants with knowledge and skills from basic to complex tree climbing techniques and their application. It also provides skills and knowledge for ground support and tree climbers in Aerial Rescue techniques.

| Assessment: | Competencies are assessed at the conclusion of this course by theory examination and a practical assessment on equipment use, knot tying, tree climbing techniques, hazard and risk assessment, emergency procedures and rescue techniques. |
| Award: | Successful participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) certificate, in partial completion of the qualification, Certificate II in Horticulture (Arboriculture). |
| Frequency: | Aerial rescue is recommended by industry to be refreshed annually, and should be re-assessed so as to maintain competency every 5 years. |
