Course Overview

Overall competence for this unit requires that a person can correctly use equipment, apply chemical correctly, record the application, and identify safety hazards and how to avoid them.

Who is this course designed for?

This course develops a participant’s skills and knowledge required to safely prepare and apply chemicals for the control of pests, weeds and diseases, using general application equipment. This course also covers the skills required to safely handle, transport and store chemicals.

The course applies to individuals who work under broad direction and take responsibility for their own work. They use discretion and judgement in the selection, allocation and use of available resources and for solving problems.

Successful participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment (SOA).
