The Certificate II in ESI – Powerline Vegetation Control provides students with the skills and knowledge to work in the electricity supply industry (ESI) or the vegetation control industry as a Powerline Vegetation Control Worker.
This qualification covers vegetation control work at and above ground level in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus. It also includes complying with relevant legislation, applicable industry guidelines, codes of practices or other related requirements for safe work in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus.

Entry Requirements
To be selected for entry into UET20321 Certificate II in ESI – Powerline Vegetation Control, applicants are required to complete a
suitability review, a task participation and medical checklist and a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) evaluation, prior to enrolment.
Applicants must also:
- be currently employed within the vegetation management industry and have access to workplace policies and procedures
- be able to demonstrate completion of AHCMOM213 Operate and maintain chainsaw (or equivalent)
- hold a current boom-type elevated work platform (WP) high risk work licence if seeking to enrol into the EWP Stream
- Individuals with disabilities and/or special needs are encouraged to apply
